The trailer says that this was 18 years in the making, but really it is about 13 years too late. I guess the only hope is that without the 22 minute time constraint, they can avoid their new habit of using the quick one-line dick or fart joke. Hopefully this can actually be funny.

As one of the only people in this family to have never purposely watched an episode of the Simpson's, I shall not be running out to see this movie. I do appreciate the wit of the show when I catch an episode at Homer and Themo's house, but otherwise it's not appointment TV for me.
There was a time it was appointment TV, but I think it has run its course. I'm sure there will be laughs... probably many more laughs than Music and Lyrics offered. But I, too, think this movie is about 13 years too late. I will wish for the best, though.
I want to go see it just for the gratuitous child abuse. I heart child abuse.
